Tom Dyer of Corte Madera, Calif. had a weekend of firsts at Infineon Raceway near Sonoma, Calif. Dyer, a local road racing ringer, became the first road racing ace to win a NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series race in nineteen series stops at the picturesque 1.99-mile layout. Dyer edged 2004 NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown champion Eric Holmes by .499 seconds at the end of 64-laps.

June 25, 2005 - Dyer Comes From Rear for Victory

For Tom Dyer of Corte Madera, the pendulum swung wildly during Saturdary's Blue Lizard Australian Suncream 200 at Infineon Raceway.

To start with, the Jim Russell Racing School instructor had to pull off the grid to fix a radio problem and started last in the 42-car field. By Lap 16, he was 21st, and by Lap 28, he was 11th. When all the dust had cleared, he had beaten teammate Eric Holmes for the win in the prelude NASCAR AutoZone Southwest Series event to Sunday's Dodge/Save Mart 350 for NASCAR Nextel Cup Series machines. Tom Dyer will be making his Southwest Tour Series debut at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA during the annual Nextel Cup weekend on June 26 and 27th. The Nascar Southwest Tour Series (S.W. Series) is the main support event to the Nextel Cup Series. Defending Southwest Tour race winner Kevin Harvick will be back looking to repeat last year's success in the Infineon 200 in addition to competiting in the Nextel Cup race. November 24, 2003 - Jim Russell 4-Hour Enduro Kart Event, Dyer and Team Fubar Second (or First)

The 2nd annual Jim Russell four- hour enduro race was held this past weekend at the Infineon Karting Center. The race, which was open to Parilla Leopard/Bm, Rotax TAG engine packages, featured over twenty-four, three or four person teams. Teams competed for various prizes as well as the over win of the enduro. In the end it was race of the survival of the fittest with two Trackmagic Dragons taking the checkered flag 1-2. September 16, 2003 - Tom Dyer To Compete In Porsche Races In Monza Italy

The weekend of October 3-5 will provide an exciting new experience for Tom Dyer, as he will take part in a Porsche Cup club event at the famed Monza Italy Grand Prix Circuit. It will also mark the first time that Dyer will have the opportunity to drive and race a sports car with fenders as compared to the open wheel formula cars Tom has been competing in. The event will commence with practice beginning on Friday the 3rd, followed by a qualifying session and 20-lap sprint race on Saturday the 4th. The weekend will culminate with a four-hour endurance race on Sunday the 5th in which Tom will partner up with another driver. [More >>]
